We seek to preserve for the future the story of the emergence of a new generation of economy

– sustainable and innovative, gained through tragedy and war.

These are cases of successful collaboration between business, communities, and government to win together.

This is a compilation of the important daily contributions of every scale to independence from the economic front.

This is a story of indomitable warrior-entrepreneurs.

The situation in Ukraine has shown that the world is fragile and needs unity and partnership to confront global challenges and ensure sustainable development goals. It is a strong economic front in time of war that is the guarantee of an effective army and the independence of the state.

Business owners are increasingly aware that ESG is not something that is imposed on them from the outside, but it is a system of risk management, their guarantee of sustainability!

Modern Europe, the modern economy and the environment have not faced such challenges for more than 70 years, which means that ways of salvation must be sought for the first time: under bombardment and in the conditions of large-scale destruction, incredible environmental hazards, lack of logistical chains and the necessary resource.

We can be proud of everyone who didn’t break down, who didn’t give up, who sacrificed their own gain for the sake of the collective one. Because both sustainable development and future economic recovery depend on the ability to think, see and act on a large scale.”

As environmental, social, economic and political tensions rise every day, capital markets and society demand that companies respond to the challenge by offering solutions for a world that is zero-clean, natural-positive and just. Navigating a world of constant upheaval requires speed, adaptability and resilience to shocks. In this volatile environment, resilience is a competitive advantage that contributes to business success at all times.

Standing on their own, helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine, communities, rebuilding destroyed facilities, at the same time preparing for European integration, adapting to climate change and in all these super-complicated conditions taking care about the environment, about the efficient use of scarce resources – all this will fall to large and small businesses in 2022.

Ukraine in 2022 has become the epicenter where the world’s financial support is flowing. Investments are mostly focused on countering the aggressor, but they must meet the principles of sustainability and ESG criteria.

❓ Who can become a participant of the project?

Companies that are actively pursuing ESG projects during the war in 2022, which include safety, environmental protection, community development, and corporate governance improvements.

Because of the military aggression in Ukraine, a number of companies carried out many wonderful ESG initiatives ranging from assisting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense Forces, buying personal protective equipment, special vehicles for hospitals, sowing and harvesting under fire, to implementing energy efficiency projects, building or installing equipment that stores and purifies water.

Today ESG values are defended in Ukraine by the whole democratic world!

The special project is an initiative of  the Union of Environmental Specialists of Professional Association of Ecologists of Ukraine

The special project is:

1. Exclusive release of ESG interaction cases (companies of the future never stop at ordinary business, therefore social responsibility, environmental protection and effective management became a must have for the future existence of business in Ukraine during the war) – December 2022 (print and electronic format)

2. International presentation-forum online –
a public report on the business contribution to the fight for independence and a livable environment (tentatively December 2022)

How long does a news story about a contribution to a victory on the Internet live? – Three days at the most!

We will create a release about what the business did together, how interaction was built, these are inspired stories and a reason to be proud of for future generations!

Release details:

1) Printed copy circulation is 5000 copies.

2) Electronic copy circulation – unlimited

3) Contents:
Tentatively – the top 100 inspiring cases for further struggle and interaction about:

  • Building energy independence under fire and the transition to global energy (renewable energy projects, innovative startups)
  • Energy efficiency projects and resource conservation
  • Conservation of water resources, providing communities with alternative fuel
  • Preventing major disasters and catastrophes
  • Creation of jobs, etc.

4) Distribution – all controlled regions of Ukraine:

  • Local authorities
  • Communities
  • Libraries of educational institutions
  • Enterprises
  • Associations and unions, etc.

5) The language of the release is Ukrainian and English

The public association  “Professional Association of Ecologists of Ukraine” (PAEU) is an innovative, independent, modern, non-profit organization of public and private sector specialists with common interests in observing the principles of sustainable development and eco-transformation of all spheres and industries

Professional Association of Ecologists of Ukraine promotes legal and professional recognition of the individual training and experience of environmental managers, ecologists, engineers, technologists, scientists and lawyers and cares about green growth and economic recovery.
